Man who broke into the White House says he was an ‘idiot’
An unnamed former employee of the U.S. Secret Service who broke in to the White and had to be rescued by federal agents said he was a “idiot” who was never allowed to work for the agency.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, the former employee, who is now in his mid-30s, said he broke into President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club on the Florida resort’s grounds in 2016 and had an “amazing” experience.
Trump, who has said he is not the subject of the investigation, fired him in October 2016.
The former employee described himself as an “idolized idiot” who had worked for the Secret Service for years and was “not only an idiot but also a racist and sexist” who would “not do anything good” with his life.
He said he wanted to give back to his country but that he was “disgusted” by Trump’s policies and that he didn’t think he was going to “get the job done” if he wanted.
He described the White Houses “bureaucracy” as “a joke” and that it was “a system of a lot of people who are paid to do stupid things.”
In his post, the unidentified former employee said he worked as a security guard at Mar-A-Lago for about a year in 2016.
He went on to say that when he was promoted to a more senior security position, he had to do more work, but that the Secret Services didn’t seem to notice that.
In his Facebook post, he wrote that he felt that he “never got the job I deserved because I was never told I could get a promotion.
That’s the saddest part of it.
I was an idiot.”
He said the Secret Forces “always treat me like crap.”
He wrote that the company would not allow him to work in any capacity at the White houses “unless I was completely fired.”
He added that he wanted “to tell the truth” about the Secret Force and that Trump was a liar and a bully.
The Secret Service has confirmed to The Associated Press that they are investigating the incident.
It’s not clear if the former Secret Service employee’s comments were in response to the president’s comments.
Trump has said repeatedly that he has nothing to do with the investigation.
